This Hands-on course is an introduction to the practice of web design, Students will learn how HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are used to construct and style a website. Topics include fonts, images, links and embedded video. Students will complete a small website, manage its layout using CSS, and upload the site to cloud server.

This class is a continuation of our introductory Web 1 class. Students will delve more deeply into CSS and HTML and will be introduced to Javascript and plug-ins that add interactivity and functionality to a website. The class is aimed at individuals who have some experience with basic coding and who are interested in becoming more fluent coders. The instructor, Angel Leal, has been a web developer for more than 10 years and has had the title of City Tech Webmaster in the college’s Computer Information Services Department for the past 7 years.
